The space occupied by size 40 is larger than that occupied by size 20. The freight rate of size 40 in the goods carried is relatively higher. However, this is relative to a reference frame. For different routes, such as near sea and ocean, the freight of goods carried by ocean 20 may be higher than that of goods carried by near sea 40.
There are other circumstances, such as the weight of goods, which also affect different open top container freight rates. In addition, when it comes to the actual operation of various wharves and transit ports, considering the situation of shipping in peak season, it also produces different freight rates, which can not be discussed in the same way.
The equipment of open top container is also limited, and whether there is an empty container should be considered on the basis of freight rate; Moreover, according to the size of open top container, if they are too wide and too high, they will occupy more spaces. In the case of space explosion, the freight rate will change greatly; Reasonable space should be left in the quotation stage.

Precautions for transportation of open top container
During the operation of open top container transportation, it is necessary to cover the tarpaulin, grasp the high standard of highway tolerance, arrange the trailer according to the specific conditions of the goods, and calculate the trailer cost according to the conditions of the goods.
For the transportation and binding of open top container , the first step is to understand the specific conditions, shape and weight of goods, and decide which open top container size to use, with the focus on the balance of center of gravity; The main materials are steel wire, joint, binding belt, small wooden mat, etc.
The binding points shall be well connected with the whole, with strong stress, and the distance between binding points shall be short; If there are no binding points, the overall binding shall be carried out according to the size of the goods. It is better to take photos after binding, and keep the pictures of the bound open top cabinet for backup. If the person who guides the binding is not present, it is also convenient to send the pictures of the open top cabinet for binding guidance to see if the binding is correct.
B. Flat panel cabinet / frame container ,
Flat panel container is one of OOG special container , which plays an important role in the transportation of super standard containers. Its characteristic is that there is no top and side wall, sometimes even the end wall is removed, leaving only the bottom plate and four corner columns.
Cargo loaded:
It is mainly used to load large mechanical equipment with super length, super width and super height and heavy heavy cargo, such as ball mills, tower cranes, elevators, steam turbines, generators, pile drivers, boilers, tower cranes, condensers, sugar making equipment, etc.
Freight of flat container
There is no completely fixed calculation method for the freight rate of flat containers, because it involves the actual operation of each wharf and transfer port and the shipping space in the light and peak seasons. In addition, the equipment of flat panel container is limited, and whether there is an empty container should be considered on the basis of freight rate. Because the flat panel cabinets occupy too many spaces, when the spaces are full, the freight rate changes greatly, so it is necessary to leave reasonable space in the quotation stage.
Dimensions of panel container
The size of flat panel container is 20 feet and 40 feet.
20 size flat container:
The height of the bottom plate is 2.2m. The thicker the bottom plate, the larger the space it occupies, and the less the load it will carry. The actual load of the container is 27.7 tons, and the approved load is 31 tons.
40 size flat container :
The floor height is 1.95M, the actual load is 30t, and the approved load is 40t.
Note: the above 20 size and 40 size flat container parameters have different super length, super height and width standards for different shipping companies, but they are almost in the critical state of this specification. Moreover, there is a certain deviation between the theoretical size and the actual cargo.
Flat container transportation
Precautions for flat container transportation
1. Good flat container shall be bound / supported / fixed and transported by trailer, and attention shall be paid to balanced placement to keep the center of gravity stable.
2. Take waterproof and moisture-proof measures according to the needs of the goods. The goods must be packed with good strength to avoid the breakage of the goods during transportation.
3. The main part of the goods is fixed on the cabinet with steel cables.
4. The front and back of the goods must be effectively reinforced. In addition to adequate and appropriate steel cable reinforcement, chocking should also be installed to prevent the goods from moving back and forth.
5. Bulk goods must be properly packed. It is better to pack them in boxes. Naked or empty packing is not acceptable.
6. A supporting pad shall be added between the steel cable and the wooden box for the binding of the flat cabinet.
7. Provide cargo loading drawing / loading plan before loading.
Whether the goods can be shipped or not depends not only on whether the flat cabinet is bound and reinforced and the trailer is arranged, but also on the actual operation and route arrangement of each wharf and whether the port equipment can undertake the goods.
Remarks: port equipment mainly refers to the loading capacity of the crane, reducer, clutch, brake, rope barrel and steel wire rope of the wharf.
